Mitte der 90er Jahre war Chris Carter einer der erfolgreichsten TV-Produzenten überhaupt. Mit „Akte X“ hatte er nicht nur eine Serie geschaffen, die Teil der Popkultur wurde, sondern auch für Traumquoten beim produzierenden Sender Fox sorgte. Ich finde „The Division Bell“ zu unrecht verrissen, ein wundervolles Album, voller Melancholie, die über allem liegt. Nie klang Gilmours Gitarre wehmütiger als auf diesem Album, das krasse Gegenteil des harschen Vorgängeralbums „A Momentary Lapse of Reason“. Besonders erstaunt bin ich immer wieder darüber, wie viele „Echos“ alter Zeiten auf dem Album vertreten sind, seien es Anspielungen im Text, in der Musik, den Geräuschen oder im Booklet. The first volume, released in May 2011, gained high interest within The X-Files’ fan base but also with soundtrack collectors that aren’t huge fans of the show per se.
